I’m Jamil Jadallah — a product leader and platform strategist based in Austin, TX. I run The Jambot, and I co-founded Beyond The Alignment with my friend Robert Amanfu.
My work sits at the intersection of product strategy and platform execution — aligning what organizations intend to build with the systems that actually deliver it.
We hold US Patent 12,106,240 B2 for a method that analyzes project workflows to surface structural coordination costs in software systems.
How I Got Here
I didn’t start in tech. I started listening.
My mother holds a PhD in conflict resolution, and growing up around her work shaped how I see systems: most problems aren’t technical — they’re interpretive. People use the same words to mean different things. Intent drifts. Context collapses.
That instinct carried through every role I’ve held — financial services, federal defense, high-growth SaaS — environments where product velocity and platform stability are business-critical.
At Capital One, I helped deliver the company’s first production Kubernetes platform, enabling fraud detection systems processing millions of daily transactions. That work became a CNCF case study.
At BrainGu, I led product strategy for a Platform-as-a-Service supporting 10,000+ users, generating $16M+ in renewals with 100% retention.
At Oteemo, I managed delivery operations during a 3x revenue growth cycle — from $6M to $20M+ — by productizing modernization efforts across cloud, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps.
Across each environment, the pattern was consistent: product vision and platform capability must scale together.
What I Do Now
Through The Jambot, I work with executive teams to:
- Design scalable product operating models
- Align platform capabilities with product roadmaps
- Improve delivery predictability and modernization outcomes
- Surface structural coordination costs that impact velocity
- Translate technical constraints into business decisions
My work spans regulated environments (defense, financial services), enterprise SaaS, and platform-centric organizations.
Beyond The Alignment
Beyond The Alignment is the research and tooling side of the work.
Through large-scale GitHub analysis and workflow modeling, we study patterns that affect long-term delivery performance — including the Innovation Tax, the Iron Square, and the $2.30 threshold where maintenance burden begins to outpace innovation.
These concepts aren’t abstractions. They’re structural patterns that show up repeatedly across platform-backed systems.
Writing & Stories
Some ideas require prose. Others require structure.
I write long-form essays in the Writing section when the argument needs depth.
I build visual and interactive pieces when the idea needs a world — scroll-driven narratives, data visualizations, and structured storytelling inspired by creators like Jonathan Hickman.
The format serves the idea. If the structure doesn’t do work, it doesn’t belong.
Work With Me
If you’re building or scaling a platform-backed product and need alignment between product strategy and platform execution, that’s the work I do.
